What are some planning ideas that can be used to accommodate a bride and groom who have limited resources for their wedding celebration?
If you are working with a budget (my term is “spending parameters”), be willing to compromise. And use common sense. If you’ve got $3000 to spend, having a wedding party of 20 and inviting 300 guests will not work for you. However, creating a wedding with a maid of honor, best man and 50 of your closest family and friends, on a Sunday morning with breakfast afterwards just may do the trick.
Prioritize your wedding. Discover what means the most to you in the grand scheme of things. If you’ve always wanted tons of flowers, have them. Just know that unless you’ve got unlimited funds…you will have to compromise on another sector of your wedding. Perhaps you will decide that since the décor is so important, you will create your wedding invitations by hand or on your PC. You’ve saved money and you've allocated your dollars where they matter most.
